Conferences

Via the International City Planners Network, you can find out who expects to be at a conference before you get there. A list of planners—including a paragraph of information about the planner and his or her work—is available to all those registered with the International City Planners Network. Once you have joined the network, you can see the list and contact planners via this site, enabling you to meet with someone in your field of interest without making a special trip to the planner's city.

These conference participant lists include only planners registered with the International City Planners Network who have used this page to indicate that they will attend the specified conference. For full attendee lists, please contact the conference sponsor directly.

The list below is in chronological order.

9th World Congress of Metropolis

In October 2008, Sydney will host this important international forum – the 9th World Congress of Metropolis. Metropolis is an organisation based in Barcelona which represents 100 of the world’s cities with populations greater than 1 million people. The NSW Government, as the member for Sydney, is the host of the Congress next year. The Metropolis Congress theme reflects the special location of Sydney as the gateway to Asia. The overall theme ‘Connecting Cities’ reinforces the city’s gateway location and the increasing interest of tourists, global businesses and civic leaders in visiting Sydney. Registration is now open!
